Well, not totally lost. I am just reading most of the time that I don’t have other duties to which I must attend. I hope to soon have a post on an interesting aspect of the occult pertaining to the difference between Christian mysticism and neopagan, magical consciousness. The attraction of “alternative religion,” is that it promises “supernatural” or transcendent consciousness, the experience of unity, integration and joy without dogma. It is a big temptation.
Please pray that I get this book on Harry Potter and the occult done soon.
I am uploading here a very cogent list of 10 non-religious reasons why same-sex marriage should not be legalized for your consideration. (I am not the author of the list. I neglected to mention this. The author is anonymous.) BTW, did you know that 85% of all abortions, according to Planned Parenthood research arm, the Guttmacher Institute, are obtained by unmarried women. My understanding is that the latest statistic has it up to 87%, but I have not been able to verify that. Either way, it is a tremendous statistic. The erosion of marriage is directly related to the incidence of abortion, and the elimination of children from the culture of marriage is obliterating the most fundamental social institution of our race. If we want to stop abortion we have to address the problem with marriage.

Geiger, particularly your focus on the foreseeable (devastating) effects on the lives of developing young boys, as if we needed more fuel added to the fire incinerating (their) fatherhood. Sadly, it also made me recall all of the proponents of polyamory just waiting in the wings for their act to begin in the legislative circus entertaining America.

Thanks for this great little article loaded with meat. As you know, I’ve been writing articles on the different ‘life’ issues for my church’s quarterly newsletter. Your non-religious same-sex marriage hit list will come in quite handy for me when I address that topic. Sadly, even within the Church, I find myself having to use non-religious logic to fight this stuff because people are so blasted confused about what our religion even teaches. This is because most people have come to believe that everything in life (including their religious tenets) is negotiable.
Your comment about the degradation of marriage being one of the key poisons having caused the high abortion rate is very interesting. I’ve been listening to the Vortex ditties on this as of late. Michael Voris has been saying that it’s the acceptance of birth control that is at the root of it all. However, I think that it is BOTH. It may be that the onslaught of ABC caused the degradation of marriage. Then, of course, once a couple chooses not to commit their lives in marriage, the idea of unwanted pregnancies increases and thus abortions increase. However, it just may be that we as a culture can win people back to marriage before we can win them back to a no-birth-control mentality. It’s something to ponder for sure.

Very interesting article. Since I have more experience with and around homosexuals than I wish, I will say that there is another aspect of marriage that is being attacked: a new generation of “tolerant” Catholic couples who invite their homosexual friends and family to the wedding. The scandal to the little ones who observe the dance floor at the reception or even the holding of hands at the ceremony itself is enough to plant the seed of confusion. The other comment is that the author hits it right on the point of division that is the byproduct of homosexuality. And in every relationship that the active homosexual touches there is a ripple affect. I have thought many times of the homosexuals in my life that they have been so overcome by demons that there is a little child inside the body crying out “isn’t somebody going to stand up to this and rescue me?” it is a disaster for these souls. St. Joseph pray for us!

The protection of a private property is a basis of any modern state. The protection of the private property means protection of the rights of a people for a private property and free business.
The communistic ideology is based on an annihilation of private property. According to K.Marx and F.Engels, for an annihilation of the private property there is necessary to destroy a family (family relations). That is the annihilation of the marriage, first of all.
For example, the USSR, has begun marriage annihilation. However, he has not finished this annihilation. Why? The annihilation of private property concerned only the wide group of peasants. However, the annihilation of a family and marriage – it concerned to all! In places where Bolsheviks began marriage annihilations, revolts began. Bolsheviks (communists) had the low prestige at the people, but an annihilation of the marriage was as a powder keg under communism. Therefore, Bolsheviks have decided to make not according to K.Marx. They have legalized the marriage, which by the church have been established. It had confirmed itself and have strengthened the country.
That communists could not make – to destroy the marriage institute and the system of private property has itself collapsed, now many advanced countries manage to make it, including the USA.
If the alien body enters into a healthy alive organism the organism may fall ill but when it is a lot of such alien bodies enters into a healthy alive organism, the organism dies.
Marriage has similar features! An organism of natural marriage between the man and the woman receives an injection by a same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage legalization will increase the sizes of this injection till the critical sizes at which any marriage will die. The society in sexual relations will be more and more similar to primitive herd. This is primitive communism by F.Engels. But if someone has forgotten, it is necessary to recollect – in the primitive herd, there is no private property, business and the capital. Well, the institution of private property is constructed on the base of marriage, a natural family.
The countries which accepted legalization of same-sex marriages are already on the way of destruction of private property.
I very much am surprised how businessmen may quietly look at the possibility of destruction of bases of a private property. You at all do not understand, that you are putting already a powder keg under marriage. The same-sex marriage will make that work which communists could not make – to destroy a private property not by terror, but by destruction of its basis – by destruction of the marriage.
The church has told all about moral loss. I speak about other losses of a society. From marriage destruction all people lose correct genetic hierarchy of a family. Men and women lose the special value for a society. The society becomes the faceless communistic chaotic herd by K.Marx and F.Engels. Businessmen in the herd lose business. Owners lose the private property and the capital. The private property and the capital is a basis of prosperity of the country. Hence the country loses prosperity, power and a fortress. People become beggars.
Some scientists explain, that any sex act removes stress, and than it is the more the better. It is less a tension in a society.
A truer word was never spoken! The physiology after any sex act has a rest, but sex act without love accumulates not in muscles, but the hatred hides into brains. That hatred which with difficulties by the big work was grown in the people by Bolsheviks. The saved up hatred always is ready spill out through physiology!
At last, it is conclusions from the letter about than are same-sex marriages for a society and the country:
• This is cultivation of development of lust in a society in immeasurable scale.
• This is an inspiration of development of hatred in a society.
• This is destruction of strength of the country.
• This is full destruction of the created civilized institute of marriage that there is an achievement of all humanity.
• This is the catastrophic approach of destruction of a private property and the capital.
There is the last conclusion: “Who votes for legalization of same-sex marriages, he votes for legalization of these five points”.

What do you think is that “virus” which has infected Catholics, and the entire culture, which has ultimately led to the undermining of marriage (i.e. that Catholics divorce at a rate no different than the culture at large)?
The “virus” – in my estimation – is Protestantism.

Very interesting. I would just make the following observations:
1) I think that in actuality people who support gay marriage are divided as to whether the state should be involved in marriage.
2) State involvement with marriage did not begin with Luther and is not in essence based on the denial of the rights of the Church. Marriage has always have had civil effects because it is a public institution that is fundamental and good for everyone and everything, including the state. The state has a real interest in protecting marriage and imbuing it with rights and obligations under the law.
3) The fundamental definition of marriage arises from neither the Church or the state, but is a matter of natural law. The simplest and truest way of saying this is that marriage exists because there are men and women, and because the union of man and woman produces children. From this arises the interest of both the Church and the state.
Ultimately, the definition of marriage can never be arbitrary. The truth has rights and the Church as guardian of the truth has the right to act independently of the state and to secure the protection of the natural law by the State. All of what the Church teaches about the natural law is reinforced and elevated by divine revelation. But it is primarily the natural law that comes into question when the Church and state face off over definitions.
4) Protestantism has in common with many movements, some more ancient, some newer, the characteristic of private judgment in matters of faith and morals. There is no question that Luther is a major figure in this regard and Protestantism one of, or perhaps the most influential of these movements. However, more fundamental to the question than Protestantism is private judgement and this can even be a problem in groups that are very contrary to Protestantism.
