Another “Four Things To Remember” for all true Knights………The poet laureate of England, Alfred Lord Tennyson, described Chivalry in this way: “Live Pure – Speak True – Right Wrong and Follow Jesus Christ, The King!
However, there is a code that far surpasses Chivalry. It is a Code that pre-dates Chivalry by more than 1,000 years. It is a Code that instead of being man-made – comes from the very Words of Jesus Christ Himself. Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Why settle for serving some worldly King or Queen – when we have “The Sacred Heart of Jesus” and “The Immaculate Heart of Mary/”

I grew up in an era where we had such (fictional) heroes as “The Lone Ranger” and Doc Savage”. I don’t know if you ever heard of these two heroes from “Those thrilling days of yesteryear” but I would like to share with you their Codes od Conduct. Millions of children growing up in the 50’s where brought up on these ideals.
The Lone Ranger’s Creed
I believe…………………..
. That to have a friend, a man must be one.
. That all men are created equal and that everyone has within himself the power to make this a better world.
. That God put the firewood there but that every man must gather and light it himself.
. In being prepared physically, mentally, and morally to fight when necessary for that which is right.
. That a man should make the most of what equipment he has.
. That “This Government, of the people, by the people and for the people” shall live always.
. That men should live by the rule of what is best for the greatest number.
. That sooner or later….somewhere….somehow….we must settle with the world and make payment for what we have taken.
. That all things change but truth, and that truth alone, lives on forever.
. In my Creator, my Country, my Fellow Man.
Now, here is the Code of Doc Savage:
1. Let me strive, every moment of my life, to make myself better and better, to the best of my ability, that all may profit by it.
2. Le me think of the right, and lend all my assistance to those who need it, with no regard for anything but justice.
3. Let me take whar comes with a smile, without loss of courage.
4. Let me be considerate of my Country, of my fellow citizens and my associates in everything I say and do.
5. Let me do right to all, and wrong no man.
Both of these Codes sound very “Chivalric” to me. It would be pretty easy to sneer and giggle at these Codes, but I’m not going to. I’m too busy still trying to live up to them.
Grail Knighthood: Grail Knighthood is the highest form of Knighthood that there is. Jesus Christ.The Grail King,” gave us the perfect definition of “Grail Knighthood” whe He said, “For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His Life as a ransom for many.” Grail Knights should be loyal to their King and follow His Example. Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is our model. As His faithful Knights, let us follow His lead and live lives of dedicated service to “God and our Neighbor!”
The Grail Code: I am a Knight who has dedicated his life to living by “The Grail Code.” Therefore, i will always strive to know, love and serve the Lord, my God, with all of my heart, mind, soul and strength. I will always love my neighbor as I love myself. I will do unto others as I would have them do unto me. More importantly, i will do unto others as I would have them do unto those that I love. Finally, I will always follow the “New Commandment” that Jesus gave us at “The Last Supper,” which is, “Love one another as I have loved you.” This is the greatest Code to which any Knight can devote their life. It is “The Holy Grail of Chivalry!”
I challenge all Knights, no matter what Order of Knighthood they may belong to, to become “Grail Knights” who will live their lives by “The Grail Code.” This world of our’s is in desperate, desperate need of true Knights – more now than at any other time in it’s history. Do we have the courage to don “The Full Armor of God” and wielding the “Sword of The Spirit” and the “Shield of Faith” to stand in the breach and defend all that is good, right, just and pure? If we do not then the “Forces of Darkness” have already won. The only thing necessary for “The Triumph of Evil” is for “Good People” to do nothing. Remember: “What we do in this life – will echo throughout Eternity!”

You are very welcome. I must apologize if I seemed to be rambling on about “Knighthood & Chivalry.” I take my Knighthood very seriously. To me, it is a holy and sacred vocation. The true spirit of “Christian Knighthood” will continue to thrive, as long as even one person lives to serve his “God and Neighbor.”
Grail Chivalry, Very interesting term.. that!
I don’t think it was a ramble… I think it was good solid advice! The point is for us to joyfully do the right thing for God. To wrong no man in and of itself has no meaning if it is not done for the Immaculate Queen!
She gave us the Sacred Body and the Blood of her Divine Son. She is the arrow that points to Grail Chivalry!

I also like to think of The Blessed Virgin Mary as being “The First and Holiest of all Tabernacles.” After all, for nine months she held within her womb “The Body and Blood, The Soul and Divinity” of our Lord & Savior – Jesus Christ.
I also like to think of Jesus Christ as being “The One True Grail.” He was and is 100% God and 100% human. He is the “Ultimate Divinity” come down to us in human form. He is the one and only Son of the one and only Living God. He is also often referred to as “The Grail King” or “The Servant King”.
“The Sacred Heart of Jesus” and “The Immaculate Heart of Mary,” what more does a true Knight really need?
