From The hermeneutic of Continuity:
A month or so ago, I wrote about the book Dominus Est by Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, published by the Vatican Press in which he argues for Holy Communion to be received on the tongue and kneeling.

Yes, a faithful man. Btw, Father. My parents suggest that I sue MaryVictrix for plagiarism. All in good humor of course… 🙂
Master Xavier,
Make my day. 🙂
So why is there so much confusion on this subject? Our Church quarterly newsletter had a big article with all of the ‘documentation’ showing why receiving in the HANDS is the way we are to receive. I had asked if my children while making their First Communions could receive on the tongue and they said ABSOLUTELY NO. It would confuse the kids and all the other kids who are being taught the currently correct way. So, somehow, serious confusion is mounting on this. what to do ..
Jen,
Your children, as does everyone else in the Church, have the option to receive either way. I don’t like to encourage people to oppose their pastors, but that is the truth. Your children should never be discouraged from receiving on the tongue.
