In my humble opinion.
Anyone for starting a Chesterton Society around the Tower of Lepanto? After all, it was he who wrote these immortal words:
“O Lady of Last Assurance
Light in the laurels, sunrise
of the dead,
Wind of the ships and
lightning of Lepanto
In honour of Thee, to whom
all honor is fled.”
What exactly does a Chesterton Society do? Perhaps a topic for the discussion group?
Not to change the subject, but another good topic for discussion would be to recruit Alan Schaeffer of the Alliance for the Separation of School and State to discuss what his org is all about and what the Knights of Lepanto can do to help. I’m sure that he’d be willing.
All you need to know about a Chesterton Society is right here.
Bring Alan along. I’ll give him the floor.
A Chesterton Society sounds interesting. Must one be a knight to attend?
